Ferruchio Lamborghini was born on a farm in Rennazzo Italy on April 28 1916. Feruchio was always interested in machines and decided to open up a factory that made tractors. The factory went really well. In 1960 Lamborghini decided to open up a second company selling air conditioning equipment. This company was also a big success and by 1962 Lamborghini was twice a millionaire. Having all this money and loving fast sports cars Lamborghini bought a Ferrari 250gt. The car was garbage and Lamborghini had it repaired several times but the car never seemed to work properly. Lamborghini took this problem directly to Enzo Ferrari the owner of Ferrari. Ferrari barely even listened to Lamborghini's complaint. Ferrari saw nothing wrong with his cars or how they performed. Lamborghini took this as an insult and built his own factory that would built the perfect sports car in St. Agata Italy only 15 km away from Ferrari's factory. Lamborghini's first car was a roomy two seatTer, the 350 Gt. The 350 Gt. started selling on May 15 1963. The car worked great and from then on the Lamborghini Company was all uphill. Lamborghini made many other cars such as the Diablo and the Countach. The Diablo made number one on "The Top 100 Cars of the Century chart. Although Ferrari got 15 cars on the top 100 chart Lamborghini still succeeded in his goal of building a better sports car by getting number 1.
